নবম ও দশম শ্রেণির ইংরেজি দ্বিতীয় পত্রে গ্রামার অংশের ৮ নম্বর প্রশ্নে রয়েছে Suffix Prefix.
Prefix : Pre মানে before আর fix মানে সাঁটা অর্থাৎ word এর পূর্বে কিছু যোগ করে নতুন শব্দ তৈরি করাকে Prefix বলে। Prefix কে বাংলায় উপসর্গ বলা হয়।
Prefix দ্বারা নতুন অর্থপূর্ণ শব্দ, বিশেষ করে Noun I adjective গঠন করা হয়।
Suffix : Word-এর পরে বসে Parts of Speech-এর পরিবর্তন ঘটায় Suffix. Suffix-কে বাংলায় প্রত্যয় বলা হয়। Suffix যোগ করে Verb, adjective এবং Adverb গঠন করা হয়। নিচে কিছু নমুনা দেওয়া হলো—
